Environmental Stewardship is one of the valuable lessons featured at John Knox Ranch. The 300 acre site is designated as a Wildlife Management area where students have the opportunity to study and work on wildlife management practices. The John Knox Ranch staff instructs students on seed planting, brush removal, and wildlife census. Students tour the ranch learning about native grasses and habitat development and protection. Children develop a sense of ownership and outdoor appreciation by understanding their relationship to the natural world.
