2010 Summer Staff Application

Dear Applicant,

Let me be the first to congratulate you on choosing to apply for a position at John Knox Ranch! We are extremely proud of the summer camp program that we offer for children ages 3-18, and of the rewarding work that we offer to college age adults through that program. You must know that in submitting your application for employment, you are completing the first step toward becoming a member of a very special group of people who actually change the lives of hundreds of young people each summer through an outdoor Christian camping experience.
If this is your first time inquiring about John Knox Ranch summer camp, we have some additional information about our program. Summer camp is approximately seven weeks long, once orientation is completed. Sessions are mostly one week in length, with the exception of the LIT programs, a ten-day session and two two-week sessions. Counselors are responsible for a group of five to seven campers per cabin; two cabins join to make up a family group and participate in all daily activities together. At night the whole camp comes together to participate in one evening activity.

Day Camps

John Knox Ranch offers 6 sessions of day camp for campers ages 3 - 10. Closely supervised day campers take advantage of the unique facilities and activities at the ranch. They do arts and crafts, swim in the pool, sing, play games, go on hikes, canoe, and learn about God's love.
